Who we are

This website, thecorsairvibe.com, is run by Corsair Vibe, a music producer selling beat licences. For anything about your data, write to thecorsairvibe@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Free downloads: your name and email address, the beat you downloaded, the time, and the IP address of the request (used to stop abuse).
• Purchases: your email address, the items you ordered and the order status. PayPal gives us your name and the email of your PayPal account. We never see or store your card or bank details.
• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Usage data: the pages you open, the beats you play and how much of them you hear, clicks on buttons, the website that sent you, the type of device, operating system and browser, and an approximate country derived from your browser's time zone. To recognise a returning browser we keep a random identifier in your browser's local storage. IP addresses used for analytics are stored only as a salted hash.

How we use it

• To send you the files you asked for and the licences you bought, and to answer your messages.
• To send a short series of emails after a free download (a note asking how the beat worked for you and an offer for a licence).
• If you ticked the box when downloading, to send you new free tracks and offers. You can stop these at any time (see below).
• To understand which beats and pages people use, to fix problems and to protect the site against abuse and fraud.
• To keep records of licences and payments, which we need for as long as a licence is valid and for accounting.

Emails and unsubscribing

We only send offers and new tracks to people who agreed to receive them. Every such email tells you how to stop them: reply “stop” or use the unsubscribe link, and we will not email you again except for messages about an order you placed.

Services that process data for us

• Resend sends our emails.
• PayPal processes payments under its own privacy policy.
• Backblaze B2 and Cloudflare store and deliver audio files and images.
• Google Analytics measures visits to the site.
• Our website and database run on a server we rent from a hosting provider.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses local storage to keep your cart, your choices and the analytics identifier described above, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time; the cart will then be emptied.

How long we keep data

Order and licence records are kept for as long as the licence is valid and as required for accounting. Free download records and analytics are kept while they are useful for running the site. Your consent to receive emails is kept until you withdraw it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent to emails and object to how we use your data. Write to thecorsairvibe@gmail.com. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
